About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and their families in Cherry Hill, Medford, Washington Township, Marlton, Collingswood, New Jersey, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Veterinarians visit pets at home, helping families navigate end-of-life decisions and say goodbye with dignity and peace. The work is designed to allow time for listening, answering questions, and honoring each pet’s story, with a few appointments per day and no double-booking or rushed goodbyes. The veterinarian practices independently while traveling to appointments, with onboarding, one-on-one mentorship, and access to experienced colleagues for support. Schedule options range from two to five days per week, including self-managed scheduling. Compensation is guaranteed and ranges from $70,000 to $145,000 depending on schedule, with quarterly bonus opportunities. The role does not include a non-compete agreement.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 90 pounds with assistance.
Complete license verification, a background check, and a driving record review before the start date.
