About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Providence & Tiverton - Rhode Island. This role offers a unique practice environment with no waiting rooms, no double-booked appointments, and no corporate production dashboards. The focus is on providing compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, and importantly, does not use non-compete contracts, allowing veterinarians to build their careers freely. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking to move away from the fast pace of general or emergency practice, those returning to work, or individuals needing to build a schedule around family commitments. The core of the job involves having meaningful, compassionate conversations and providing dignified end-of-life care for pets.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD/BVMS
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
- Weekend Availability (Rotational)
- Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
