About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Gresham, Milwaukie, and Beaverton, Oregon. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice veterinary medicine without the constraints of a traditional waiting room, double-booked appointments, or corporate production dashboards. The focus is on providing compassionate, unhurried end-of-life care, allowing veterinarians the time to connect with families and their beloved pets. Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led practice that explicitly does not use non-compete contracts, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. This position is ideal for experienced doctors seeking a change from the fast pace of general or emergency practice, or for those looking to build a schedule around family commitments.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
• Weekend Availability (Rotational)
• Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
• Exude Compassion, Dignity & Respect to ALL
• Professional Communication to Team & Families
