About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking an In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarian to serve pet families in Ronkonkoma & Huntington, New York. This role offers a unique practice environment free from waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, and corporate production dashboards, allowing veterinarians to focus on providing compassionate end-of-life care with ample time for each patient and family. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, and importantly, does not utilize non-compete contracts, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. The ideal candidate is experienced in handling difficult conversations, seeks a slower pace than general or emergency practice, and values meaningful work. This position is suitable for doctors returning to practice or seeking a schedule that accommodates family life.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD/BVMS
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
• Weekend Availability (Rotational)
• Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
• Professional Communication Skills

Responsibilities
