About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to provide hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and families in Oceanside, San Clemente, Carlsbad, California, and the surrounding metropolitan area. Veterinarians practice independently while traveling to appointments, with onboarding, mentorship, and experienced colleagues available for support. The position offers schedule options ranging from two days per week to full time, including self-managed scheduling. Five-day and four-day full-time schedules include a guaranteed salary and quarterly bonus opportunities. Two- and three-day schedules, including self-managed part-time schedules, receive prorated compensation. Guaranteed compensation ranges from $65,000 to $155,000 depending on schedule. There is no non-compete agreement. Weekend work is arranged by choosing four weekend days per month rather than following a fixed rotation.
