About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in Alam Heights, Kirby & Windcrest, Texas. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice medicine without the pressures of a traditional waiting room, double-booked appointments, or corporate production dashboards. The focus is on providing compassionate end-of-life care with ample time for each patient and family. Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led practice that explicitly does not use non-compete contracts, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. The ideal candidate is experienced in handling difficult conversations, finds euthanasia appointments meaningful, and is looking to step away from the fast pace of general or emergency practice. This position is also suitable for doctors returning from a break or seeking a schedule that accommodates family life.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD/BVMS
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to Work Independently in a Mobile Environment
- Weekend Availability (Rotational)
- Ability to Lift up to 45 lbs Unassisted
