About The Position

Silverado Hospice is hiring a regional hospice leader to oversee multiple programs across the assigned region, covering Irvine and the Inland Empire. The role provides operational oversight and strategic direction, supports operational performance and sustainable growth, ensures regulatory compliance, and helps maintain exceptional care and experiences for patients and families. The ideal candidate resides within the region and travels regularly to multiple hospice locations, with occasional travel to other regions based on business needs. The Regional Hospice Administrator partners with local Administrators and regional and site leadership to achieve census, financial, quality, and operational goals. They help maintain program performance during Administrator vacancies or leadership transitions, support budgets and market development, strengthen community and referral relationships, and monitor metrics and action plans. The position also recruits, mentors, and develops Administrators and emerging leaders while promoting associate engagement, accountability, and retention. The anticipated annual pay range is $175,000–$215,000 USD. Employment offers are contingent on background check, drug screening, physical, and TB testing if applicable.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Business Administration, or a related healthcare field.
Minimum of 2–5 years of experience as a Hospice Administrator, Executive Director, or in an equivalent leadership role.
Minimum of two years of full-time supervisory or management experience, with experience within the past five years.
Strong knowledge of Medicare Hospice Conditions of Participation and Joint Commission standards.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Background in hospice, home health, a primary care clinic, or another healthcare setting.
Ability to reside within the assigned region and travel regularly to support multiple hospice locations.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide operational oversight and strategic direction for assigned Silverado Hospice programs.
Partner with local Administrators to achieve census, financial, quality, and operational goals.
Assume operational responsibility for programs during Administrator vacancies or leadership transitions.
Collaborate with regional and site leadership, including Directors of Patient Care Services, Business Development leaders, Business Office Managers, and other operational partners.
Participate in budget planning and monitor financial performance across assigned locations.
Support operational efficiencies while maintaining exceptional patient and family experiences.
Support program growth and market development initiatives.
Build and maintain relationships with referral partners and community stakeholders.
Monitor key performance metrics and implement action plans to improve outcomes.
Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and audits.
Establish and monitor standards of care that support quality and service excellence.
Maintain appropriate service agreements and partnerships necessary to meet patient and family needs.
Recruit, mentor, train, and support Hospice Administrators and emerging leaders.
Provide coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
Promote associate engagement, accountability, and retention throughout the region.
Travel regularly throughout the market and occasionally to other regions based on business needs.
Work outside regular hours when business needs require.
