On Call Weekend Hospice Nurse
About The Position
AdvisaCare is seeking an On Call Weekend Hospice Nurse to serve Kent County and surrounding areas, with the Troy office as the parent agency. The role is scheduled for weekend on-call coverage from Friday through Sunday and involves responding to patient needs and supporting patients and caregivers in the field. The nurse will triage patient calls, make patient visits, perform tuck-ins, and complete admissions as needed. The position also includes daily field visits and participation in weekly office meetings as indicated. Candidates should be compassionate, dynamic, energetic, organized, and efficient, with the ability to adapt to patients’ changing status and needs during weekend on-call coverage.
Requirements
- Current Michigan RN license in good standing.
- Empathetic approach to patients and caregivers.
- Ability to adapt to patients’ status and needs during weekend on-call coverage.
Nice To Haves
- One year of hospice experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
