About The Position

Compassus is hiring a Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse to provide hospice patient care after hours and on weekends as patient needs arise. The nurse helps patients spend quality time with loved ones and participate in activities they enjoy, builds trusting and compassionate relationships with patients and families, educates caregivers, and supports patients and families in maintaining comfort and coping during after-hours emergencies. Schedules vary to meet agency staffing needs and may include weekends only, weeknights only, or seven days on followed by seven days off.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state where the employee works.
• Two years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Current driver’s license.
• Current CPR and BCLS certification.
• Ability to flex the schedule to meet agency staffing needs; schedules may include weekends only, weeknights only, or seven days on followed by seven days off.
