Hospice Massage Therapist (CI-PRN)

The Massage Therapist provides relief and relaxation to clients through the use of therapeutic massage. This position assesses each client individually, and develops a plan of action accordingly. Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED- Required
- Massage Therapist (MSGTHER)- State Licensing Board - Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)- American Heart Associate - Required- Within 90 Days of Hire
- First Aid (AID)- American Heart Association- Require- Within 90 days of Hire
- Message Therapy License/Certificate from Recognized School (AMTA, OBTA, ABMP)- Required
- 1 year- Massage Experience- Require
Responsibilities
- Position will focus on seeing Hospice patients in their homes 90% of the time. 10% will be Hospice patients located at the Hospice House.
- Must be willing to cover Marion, Hendricks, Morgan, Johnson and portions of Shelby & Hancock Counties.
- Accurately document and maintain client records and necessary department paperwork in a timely manner.
- Clean, organize, and maintain work area, and disinfect after treatment.
- Assess patients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength and range of motion and develop a treatment plan.
- Communicate with patients about their medical histories, problems, and pain, and answer patient questions and concerns.
- Perform therapeutic massage in a variety of modalities to the soft tissues and joints to provide treatment for medical conditions and injuries.
