Hospice Massage Therapist
About The Position
At Moments Hospice, the Massage Therapist alleviates patients’ symptoms and promotes comfort through personalized massage therapy interventions tailored to each patient’s individualized care plan. The position works under the direction of the Clinical Director and collaborates with the clinical team. The role offers autonomy and variety in hospice care, clear expectations, on-call support, and opportunities for professional growth through structured training and educational development programs. It is an on-the-road position, with a fleet car option that includes gas and insurance coverage for business and personal use at minimal cost. A company cell phone is also provided.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with a minimum of 500 hours of training.
- Hold current licenses or certifications as required by state law.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Have a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of the National Certification Exam (NCTMB).
- One year of experience as a Massage Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Provide massage therapy services under the direction of the Clinical Director according to each patient's individualized care plan.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment and evaluate effectiveness.
- Perform massage therapy to alleviate symptoms and promote relaxation and comfort.
- Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition to the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate patient records within 24–48 hours of sessions.
