Hospice Massage Therapist
About The Position
At Moments Hospice, the Massage Therapist alleviates patients’ symptoms and promotes comfort through personalized massage therapy interventions tailored to each patient’s individualized care plan. The therapist works under the direction of the Clinical Director and collaborates directly with the clinical team in a hospice-care setting. The role offers autonomy and variety, on-call support, clear expectations, and structured training and educational development programs. The position is on the road. The compensation package includes a company car option for business and personal use, with fuel and insurance covered at minimal cost to the employee. A company cell phone is also provided. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with a minimum of 500 hours of training.
- Hold current licenses or certifications as required by state law.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of the National Certification Exam (NCTMB).
- One year of experience as a Massage Therapist.
Responsibilities
- Provide massage therapy services under the direction of the Clinical Director according to each patient’s individualized care plan.
- Assess patients to determine appropriate treatment and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Perform massage therapy to alleviate symptoms and promote relaxation and comfort.
- Observe and report patient responses and changes in condition to the clinical team.
- Maintain accurate patient records within 24–48 hours of sessions.
