Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA)
About The Position
Mission Healthcare is hiring a Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA) to provide personal care to hospice patients in San Diego County, California. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pay range is $23.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience. The aide supports patients with daily personal-care activities, helps maintain a clean and orderly living area, and assists with medication self-administration. The role requires following organizational documentation and care standards, maintaining professional conduct, and meeting productivity expectations based on business needs. Requirements
- Valid state Home Health Aide and Nursing Assistant certifications (CHHA and CNA).
- Ability to self-direct and work with little direct supervision.
- Empathy for the needs of ill, injured, frail, and impaired people.
- Current BLS and CPR certification.
- Tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen.
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing.
- Provide skin care to help prevent breakdown.
- Assist patients with toileting activities.
- Keep the patient's living area clean and orderly, as appropriate.
- Assist patients with self-administration of medication.
- Follow the organization's documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Meet position productivity expectations as determined based on business need.
