About The Position

Silverado Hospice San Diego is hiring a compassionate, dependable Hospice Certified Home Health Aide to provide hands-on support to patients in their homes across Escondido, Central San Diego, and surrounding communities. The role supports dignified, meaningful care and comfort for patients facing end-of-life journeys. The aide provides daily care and companionship, supports patients and families emotionally, assists with basic medical tasks under licensed professionals’ supervision, and communicates with the care team. The position is part-time, approximately 24 hours per week, with variable flexible days and hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Regular travel to patient locations is required.

Requirements

• Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Comply with all state and federal driving regulations.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pass a criminal background check, physical exam, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support through feeding, bathing, cleaning, and other activities of daily living.
• Deliver compassionate care and emotional support to patients and families.
• Travel regularly to patient locations to provide care.
• Assist with basic medical tasks under the supervision of licensed professionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the care team.
