Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA)
About The Position
Mission Healthcare is seeking a Hospice Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA/CNA) to provide personal care and support to patients in the Greater Riverside/San Bernardino, California territory. The role involves assisting patients with daily care needs, supporting safe and orderly living spaces, and following the organization’s documentation, care, and conduct standards. The aide must meet productivity expectations based on business needs. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The hourly pay range is $22.00–$25.00, depending on experience.
Requirements
- Valid state Home Health Aide and Nursing Assistant certifications (CHHA and CNA).
- Ability to self-direct and work with little direct supervision.
- Empathy for the needs of ill, injured, frail, and impaired people.
- Current BLS and CPR certification.
- Demonstrate tact, patience, and good personal hygiene.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linen.
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing.
- Provide skin care to help prevent breakdown.
- Assist patients with toileting activities.
- Keep the patient’s living area clean and orderly, as appropriate.
- Assist patients with the self-administration of medication.
- Follow the organization’s documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct.
- Meet position productivity expectations as determined based on business need.
