About The Position

Alpha Omega Hospice is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide hands-on hospice care to patients in Tarrant County and Fort Worth. Working closely with the nursing team, the Hospice Aide follows each patient’s plan of care and helps meet their physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect, empathy, and professionalism. The role includes providing personal care, supporting patients’ families and caregivers, and maintaining accurate documentation in patients’ homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The stated average pay range is $17.00–$20.00 per hour; final compensation depends on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the position’s specific responsibilities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Current, unencumbered CNA certificate in the state where the employee will work.
At least one year of CNA experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
Current CPR certification if mandated by the state.
Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

Follow the patient’s plan of care to support comfort and well-being, and promptly respond to requests from patients and their families or caregivers.
Assist with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing.
Provide exceptional customer service and work to ensure patient satisfaction.
Share knowledge with patients’ families and guide and support them in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
Maintain accurate documentation in patients’ homes and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
