Hospice Aide
About The Position
Care Dimensions is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate care to hospice patients and support their families. Hospice Aides are valued members of the care team, helping patients with personal care needs, ambulation, and supplementary services such as meal preparation. The role serves patients facing advanced or end-of-life illness in various locations throughout northeastern Massachusetts. The position offers flexible schedules, including full-time, part-time, and per diem shifts. The anticipated pay range is $22–$27 per hour, depending on factors such as education, training, relevant experience, and work location. Benefits are offered to employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant course approved by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and in accordance with U.S. Department of Health and Human Services requirements.
- A compassionate, warm, and accepting attitude toward people.
- Ability to respect the confidentiality of patients and families.
- Licensed driver with an insured automobile.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care needs.
- Assist patients with ambulation.
- Provide supplementary services, including meal preparation.
- Support patients and families during advanced or end-of-life illness.
