About The Position

Healthcare Plus Homemakers is hiring full-time and part-time Homemakers to support clients throughout Illinois. The agency provides in-home care for people age 59 and under with disabilities, helping them live safely and comfortably in their homes. Homemakers support clients with daily tasks and tailor their assistance to each client's needs while respecting their comfort and dignity. No medical experience is required.

Requirements

• Be dependable, patient, and caring.
• Demonstrate compassion and respect for clients.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Demonstrate patience and empathy.
• Have good organizational and time-management skills.
• Be flexible and maintain a positive attitude.
• Have a valid ID or driver's license.
• Provide a Social Security card.
• Have a high school diploma or GED; a substitute form is available for applicants without one.

• Bilingual ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping.
• Do laundry.
• Shop for groceries.
• Prepare meals.
• Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide light lifting and transferring assistance when needed.
• Provide respectful, compassionate companionship.
• Tailor support to each client's needs, comfort, and dignity.
