Requirements

Ability to handle stressful situations.
Effective communication skills.
Knowledge of basic math, including counting, addition, and subtraction.

Responsibilities

Promote trust and respect among associates.
Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products sold in the department and throughout the store.
Maintain knowledge of department products and answer questions or make product suggestions.
Offer product samples to help customers discover new or requested products.
Inform customers about Drug GM and Home specials.
Recommend Drug GM and Home items to help customers find the products they want and need.
Review sell-by dates and take appropriate action.
Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
Report product ordering or shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads.
Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify store management.
Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance needs and notify the appropriate department or store manager about items needing repair.
Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
