About The Position

The Home Photo Elec/Clerk supports daily department operations while creating an outstanding customer experience. The role helps maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment; answers customer questions and makes product suggestions; and works toward established department sales, profit, and quality assurance goals. The associate supports the company’s Customer 1st strategy and demonstrates its core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math, including counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Must be 18 or older.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to speak, read, and/or write in a second language.

Responsibilities

• Follow local, state, and federal health and civil codes.
• Welcome customers and answer questions about products sold in the department and throughout the store.
• Maintain knowledge of department products, answer product questions, and make suggestions.
• Learn the store layout and locate products for customers.
• Maintain EAS to company standards.
• Stay current on present, future, seasonal, and special advertisements.
• Monitor inventory and stocking conditions and report discrepancies.
• Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
• Use creative merchandising and condition products in assigned sections according to company policy.
• Understand and perform cashier functions.
• Follow merchandising, customer service, labor control, expense and supply controls, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, and associate and customer engagement rules.
• Comply with safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify store management.
• Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and notify the appropriate department or store manager about items needing repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
