About The Position

Home Meal Solutions associates prepare fresh food items for members, including following recipes and preparing rotisserie chicken. They wrap, label, and store merchandise to help ensure food freshness, and may assist members with bakery orders while managing several tasks at once. The role supports a prepared foods area that provides high-quality, ready-to-eat food and a positive member shopping experience. Associates prepare food to item specifications and follow food safety, sanitation, cold-chain, inventory, quality, and date-control standards. They maintain a clean, sanitized, organized, and member-ready sales floor; stock and rotate merchandise; monitor product quality and expiration dates; and reduce waste. The position also involves using digital and handheld tools for production, ordering, merchandise receiving, pickup orders, training, and product-quality decisions. Associates work collaboratively, support and train peers, adapt to business needs, and follow company policies and standards of ethics and integrity. The role is located at Sam's Club, 1375 E Ontario Ave, Corona, California. The hourly wage range is $19.00 to $27.00, with possible premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. The actual rate will equal or exceed the applicable local minimum wage. The position requires successful completion of required trainings and assessments within a prescribed period, if hired.

Responsibilities

Prepare fresh foods according to recipes and item specifications, including rotisserie chicken and ready-to-eat foods.
Plan future and mass production and prepare for seasonal demand.
Wrap, label, store, stock, and rotate merchandise while maintaining quality and date-control standards.
Ensure prepared-food products are available and meet quality standards; verify expiration dates and dispose of lower-quality products.
Maintain temperature control, cold-chain compliance, food safety, and sanitation standards.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, organized, and member-ready area and sales floor.
Handle claims and returns, zone the area, organize merchandise, and identify shrink and damaged items.
Manage inventory and reduce waste.
Use digital and handheld tools to support production, ordering, merchandise receiving, club pickup orders, training, product quality, and business decisions.
Assist members, including helping with bakery orders, and provide attention to customer needs.
Communicate and collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams; share product knowledge and help educate, train, and mentor associates.
Adapt to business needs and work in other areas as needed.
Complete work assignments and priorities, communicate progress, and recommend improvements.
Follow company policies, procedures, food safety standards, and standards of ethics and integrity.
