About The Position

Home Matters Caregiving is an in-home care agency serving the Greater Boston West area, providing care ranging from companionship to end-of-life hospice support. Home Health Aides and Personal Care Attendants provide compassionate, high-quality care to help clients maintain their well-being. The role includes assisting with daily living activities, meals, medication reminders, mobility, companionship, dementia care, and light housekeeping. Caregivers communicate with healthcare providers and family members about client needs and progress. The agency offers training, resources, and professional growth support.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant.
Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
Ability to pass a background check.
Compassionate nature and strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
A valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle may be required depending on client needs.

Nice To Haves

Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Prepare meals and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
Provide medication reminders and documentation.
Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
Assist with dementia care and provide specialized support to clients with cognitive impairments.
