Home Health Aide (HHA) - Waterbury, CT
About The Position
There For You Home Care Services, a Division of UniversaCare, is hiring certified Home Health Aides to serve patients in Waterbury, Connecticut, and surrounding towns. The agency is Medicare-certified and holds Connecticut DPH License 9915730. Aides work under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist to help patients recover and remain safe at home. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, including weekdays and weekends. The work takes place in patients’ homes, with assignments based from the agency’s Waterbury office at 534 Frost Road. Service areas include Greater Waterbury, the Naugatuck Valley, and surrounding towns in New Haven and Litchfield Counties; Hamden-area visits are also available. Compensation is $18.00–$23.00 per hour, paid weekly.
Requirements
- Connecticut Home Health Aide certification or listing as a CNA on the Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Prior home care or facility experience.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; a valid driver’s license is preferred.
- CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Assist with exercises and activities assigned by a nurse or therapist.
- Take and record vital signs, observe changes in patients’ conditions, and report those changes.
- Provide light housekeeping and meal preparation, and give medication reminders.
- Accurately document each visit using the clock-in app.
