About The Position

Allegiant is hiring compassionate and dependable Home Health Aides and Personal Care Aides to provide in-home care to seniors and individuals who need assistance with daily living throughout New York City. The role supports clients in maintaining their independence and building relationships with clients and their families. Starting pay is $19.65 per hour. Scheduling is flexible and includes daytime and 12-hour shifts. Allegiant offers a supportive professional team environment and ongoing training and career development opportunities.

Requirements

• New York State Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide certification.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow a care plan.

Nice To Haves

• Previous home care experience is preferred.
• English- and Italian-speaking candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Remind clients to take medications as directed.
• Observe and report changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the care team.
