About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care of Summit, NJ is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide to provide compassionate, personalized care to clients in their homes. The aide helps clients with daily activities, supports their independence and dignity, and contributes to their overall well-being. The role also includes typical caregiver duties such as errands, transportation, housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship. Requirements

• Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) from the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and with direction, and as part of a team.
• Exceptional personal hygiene.
• Respectful, compassionate demeanor and good bedside manner.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping.
• Demonstrated experience providing home healthcare services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as a home health care aide is preferred but not required.
• Valid CPR certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist clients with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in a client's condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for the client.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity.
• Assist with shopping, errands, transportation, prescription pickup, and telehealth visits.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship.
