About The Position

Saint Therese is hiring a part-time Home Health Aide to provide hands-on care, compassionate support, and companionship to residents in its Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. The aide works alongside the care team to help residents maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life. The schedule is 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., including every other weekend and every other holiday. Available schedules are 48, 56, or 64 hours per two-week pay period. The pay range is $19.10–$25.91 per hour, based on experience, with same-day pay available. The position is at Saint Therese of Corcoran, a senior living campus with independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartments. The campus offers dining venues, a wellness center with a pool, a library, lounges, a golf simulator, a salon, and a woodshop. Saint Therese is a faith-based, nonprofit senior living organization with more than 60 years of experience providing person-centered care and services.

Requirements

At least 6 months of caregiving experience in a senior care facility setting.
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment within the scope of practice.
Reliability and dependability, including consistent attendance and accountability.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to document care accurately and promptly in required systems.
Ability to collaborate with nurses and care team members.
Ability to follow care plans, supervisor direction, policies, and procedures.
Ability to safely lift, move, and transfer residents in accordance with training and safety guidelines.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

HHA or CNA certification in the State of Minnesota.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and transfers.
Administer medications in accordance with training and policy.
Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic charting system.
Observe and report physical or behavioral changes to nursing staff.
Provide companionship and support residents’ daily engagement activities.
Collaborate with nurses and care team members to support resident care plans.
