Home Health Aide - Now Hiring - Summit County
About The Position
Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides to help older adults live at home in Summit County, Ohio. The work includes assisting clients with bathing, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, mobility, and companionship. This is physical work, with aides on their feet most of the day and helping people move around. The role does not involve medical tasks, which are handled by nurses. Pay is $18 per hour for applicants with an active or expired STNA license; $16–$18 per hour, based on interview, for applicants with a qualifying HHA certificate or relevant experience; and $16 per hour for those who complete the free training pathway. Applicants with a care background whose experience or certificate cannot be verified may still qualify through free training, with pay based on their interview at $16–$18 per hour. Employees are paid every two weeks by direct deposit as W-2 employees. Holiday work pays an additional 10%, and performance raises and bonuses are also offered. Applicants need a driver's license, their own car with insurance covering work driving, successful background checks, legal authorization to work in the United States, and must be at least 18 years old. They must work at least 20 hours per week and be available between 6 AM and 8 PM; most work is scheduled from 8 AM to 5 PM. Qualification pathways include an STNA license, an HHA certificate of at least 30 hours, at least one year of experience under an RN or LPN, or completing the free training pathway.
