Haven Home Care is hiring Home Health Aides in Summit County, Ohio, to help older adults live at home. The role involves assisting clients with bathing, dressing, meals, light cleaning, errands, and companionship. The work is physical: aides are on their feet most of the day and help clients move around. The position does not include medical tasks, which are handled by nurses. Pay is $18 per hour for workers with an active or expired STNA license, $16–$18 per hour for workers with an HHA certificate or qualifying experience, and $16 per hour through the free training pathway. Pay for candidates with a care background is based on the interview if their experience or certificate does not qualify through the other pathways. Employees are paid every two weeks by direct deposit as W-2 employees. Holiday work pays an additional 10%, and performance raises and bonuses are available. Candidates qualify through one of four pathways: an active or expired STNA license; an HHA certificate with at least 30 hours; at least one year of experience under an RN or LPN; or free training for applicants without experience. The employer states estimated qualification timelines of 1–3 days for STNA candidates, 5–8 days for HHA or experience candidates (after experience verification where applicable), and 1–2 weeks for the free training pathway. Applicants must have a driver's license and their own car with insurance that covers work driving, pass background checks, have legal authorization to work in the United States, and be at least 18 years old. They must work at least 20 hours per week and be available from 6 AM to 8 PM; most work is scheduled from 8 AM to 5 PM. Haven Home Care participates in E-Verify and will provide Form I-9 information to the federal government to confirm work authorization. The employer is an equal opportunity employer.
