About The Position

Stauffers of Kissel Hill is hiring part-time, seasonal team members for its Rohrerstown Road Home and Garden location. The position pays $14.00 per hour and requires day and weekend availability between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., through December. The seasonal role is described as short term, with the possibility of a long-term opportunity. The cashier helps provide customers with an exceptional shopping experience by greeting them warmly and thanking them. The role also supports sales-floor stocking and displays, department opening or closing, and keeping the department clean, organized, and well supplied. The position involves working in an outside environment and may include occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Able to perform basic mathematical calculations, including addition and subtraction with multidigit numbers and units of weight and/or American currency.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Positive attitude; attentive to customers and coworkers; willing to learn; able to work well with others; values self and others; dedicated; and careful in all tasks.
Day and weekend availability between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m., through December.

Responsibilities

Collect cash, check, or charge payments from customers and make change for cash transactions.
Provide exceptional service to customers by greeting them and thanking them.
Stock the sales floor.
Set and sign displays.
Assist with opening and/or closing the department.
Help keep the department clean, well organized, and well supplied.
Perform other duties as assigned based on company or department needs.
