About The Position

Community Care Tasmania is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate care and support, enabling participants to thrive at home with dignity. We are seeking a dedicated person to join our Home Garden & Maintenance team. This position will be based in the Launceston area, however travel to the wider region will be required and a van and equipment is provided.

Requirements

Physically fit and able to perform all tasks required.
Ability to safely operate a range of gardening equipment
Satisfactory National Police check (less than 3mths old)
Current Tasmanian Drivers Licence
Working with Vulnerable People Card (NDIS Screening)
NDIS Workers Orientation Module (willingness to complete)
First Aid & CPR (willingness to complete)

Nice To Haves

Certificate 3 in horticulture is desirable or a minimum 1-year experience in similar role.
Training in manual handling desirable.
Training in Chemical handling desirable.

Responsibilities

Lawn mowing and garden maintenance including weeding, mulching, pruning and edging.
General garden clean and tidy, including removal of any rubbish and green waste and transport of items to the local Tip.
Installation of outdoor Key Lockbox/Key safe.
External window cleaning at ground level.
High pressure cleaning at ground level.
Other ad-hoc gardening as reasonably requested, and within relevant program funding guidelines.
Other maintenance tasks as confirmed, based off individual employee qualifications.
