About The Position
Visiting Angels of Brookfield, CT is seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to provide non-medical home care and companionship to seniors. The role supports clients in maintaining independence and completing daily living activities, while treating them with respect and dignity. Immediate overnight shifts are available. The position may involve travel to Brookfield, CT and surrounding communities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum of 12 months of caregiving experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have reliable or personal transportation.
- Must be able to speak and read English.
Nice To Haves
- Dementia experience preferred.
- Certified Nurse's Aide or HHA certification preferred.
- Ability to work in a facility environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors in their homes.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing and dressing.
- Help with household errands and provide transportation to and from appointments.
- Perform grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders.
