About The Position

Visiting Angels is hiring a part-time Home Caregiver for evening or overnight shifts, with up to full-time hours available depending on flexibility, availability, and demand. The role requires traveling to client homes in Hanover, Spring Grove, New Oxford, Abbottstown, Pennsylvania, and surrounding areas. Caregivers provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors in their homes, including personal care, mobility support, errands, transportation, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. A $500 sign-on bonus is mentioned.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance.
Must be dependable and display a positive attitude.
Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

One year of professional caregiving experience preferred.
CNA license preferred, but not required.
Flexibility and availability may allow for up to full-time hours.

Responsibilities

Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors at home.
Give medication reminders.
Run household errands and provide transportation to doctors’ appointments.
Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Help with grocery shopping, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
Provide mobility assistance, including helping clients walk and transfer.
