About The Position
Visiting Angels of Southern Maryland is hiring Home Caregivers to provide one-on-one care to senior clients in their homes throughout Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s Counties. Caregivers support clients’ quality of life and provide companionship in a home setting. The role offers competitive pay of $15.00 per hour and flexible scheduling, with days, evenings, and weekends available. Duties include household support, meal preparation, errands, transportation, and, when needed, personal care and hygiene assistance.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and a reliable car.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screen.
- Three years of relevant job experience or a current CNA license.
- CPR certification.
- Present a Social Security card at the time of interview.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential support to seniors in their residences.
- Help with light housekeeping and grocery shopping.
- Prepare meals.
- Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, when needed.
- Give medication reminders and complete household errands.
- Provide transportation to and from appointments.
