About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Downers Grove, Illinois. The goal is to help clients remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers follow each client's care plan and support daily activities, personal care, mobility, meals, and household tasks. The agency provides training and serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The role is available full-time or part-time, including live-in shifts, and is performed in person.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including attending appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping when needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client's care plan.
