About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and follow their care plans. The agency serves DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The position is in person in La Grange, Illinois, and may be full-time or part-time.

Requirements

• At least one year of home care or caregiving experience.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
• Respectful and compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
• Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills.
• Driver’s license.
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work in the USA.
• Must be reliable.
• Willingness to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including for appointments and walks.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
• Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
• Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
• Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
• Follow the client’s care plan.
