About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care and help seniors remain safe and independent in their homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities, follow their care plans, and help keep them happy and healthy at home. The position is based in Downers Grove, Illinois, and is performed in person. Full-time, part-time, and live-in availability is listed.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving or home care experience.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful and compassionate manner with good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the United States.
Must be very reliable.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including for appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping when needed.
Perform light housekeeping and prepare meals, including tasks clients cannot complete themselves.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client's care plan.
