About The Position

Always Best Care Chicagoland is hiring compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors and help them remain safe and independent in their homes. The role involves following each client’s care plan, assisting with daily activities and mobility, and reporting unusual incidents or responding responsibly in emergencies. The agency provides training and describes its work environment as caring, respectful, customer-centric, rewarding, and engaging. Work is in person in La Grange, Illinois, serving clients in DuPage, Will, and Cook Counties. The position may be full-time or part-time.

Requirements

At least 1 year of caregiving or home care experience; required.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Respectful, compassionate manner and good bedside manner.
Strong communication, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver’s license; required.
Physical endurance to complete required tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work in the USA.
Must be very reliable.
Must be willing to work full-time or part-time.

Responsibilities

Provide medication reminders.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping, as needed.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete themselves, including meal preparation.
Report unusual incidents to the Care Coordinator.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Follow the client’s care plan.
