About The Position

Griswold Home Care is seeking an organized, compassionate, and highly professional Home Care Care Coordinator for their Shrewsbury office, serving Worcester County. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships, communicating with families and caregivers, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Care Coordinator will be central to daily operations, assisting families with home care options, coordinating caregiver schedules, recruiting and onboarding caregivers, and ensuring dependable, compassionate care. This is a computer- and phone-intensive position requiring strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage changing priorities. Every interaction is important, and the role requires professionalism, empathy, and confidence when representing Griswold Home Care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and comfort learning and using scheduling software, Microsoft Office, email, and other office technology.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Professional, friendly, and confident telephone presence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a home care agency is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare scheduling, staffing coordination, recruiting, client services, medical office operations, or a related healthcare environment is highly valued.
  • Candidates with experience coordinating caregivers, schedules, or client services are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, emails, and text messages from prospective clients, current clients, caregivers, job applicants, and referral partners.
  • Speak with families to understand their needs, explain our services, and help them feel confident choosing Griswold Home Care.
  • Coordinate caregiver schedules and ensure clients receive reliable, uninterrupted care.
  • Respond quickly and creatively to schedule changes, call-outs, and last-minute staffing needs.
  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and support exceptional caregivers.
  • Match caregivers with clients based on care needs, personality, availability, and compatibility.
  • Maintain accurate client and caregiver records using scheduling software and office technology.
  • Work closely with the office team to provide an outstanding experience for clients, families, and caregivers.
  • Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support ongoing care coverage.
