About The Position

Hoist Operators keep materials moving safely and efficiently. They operate forklifts and hoist equipment, coordinate shipments, and manage inventory while working closely with customer service and production teams. The role ensures the smooth flow of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods in warehouse and production areas, with safety and precision as top priorities.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency.
Successfully complete Hoist Operation certification within 30 days.

Nice To Haves

Two years of forklift or hoist operation experience.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

Safely operate forklift trucks and hoist equipment to move, stack, and transport materials.
Perform yard jockeying tasks, including pulling trailers into docks.
Complete daily safety checks on equipment and perform basic maintenance.
Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies in the inventory management system.
Organize storage spaces and pick products according to detailed lists.
Coordinate external shipments, including mail pickups and deliveries, with vendors.
Communicate with internal and external partners to manage schedules and resolve issues.
Count, weigh, and record material movements on daily tracking sheets.
Help keep production running smoothly with occasional team tasks or auxiliary assignments.
