About The Position

This is an instructor pool for part-time History Associate Instructor positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. The pool will be used to fill part-time, temporary, hourly positions as needed. The primary responsibility is to teach history courses at the community college level, demonstrating sensitivity to and understanding of diverse student backgrounds.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in history.
• OR bachelor’s degree in history AND master’s degree in political science, humanities, geography, area studies, women’s studies, social science or ethnic studies.
• OR a valid appropriate California Community College Credential in the discipline area.
• OR the equivalent.
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
