About The Position

This is an applicant pool for part-time Chemistry Associate Instructor positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. The pool will remain active until June 30, 2027. Applicants are responsible for ensuring their transcripts clearly state the degree title, major, and date awarded to demonstrate they meet the minimum qualifications.

Requirements

• Master’s in chemistry; OR Master’s in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry (approved comparable degrees at MiraCosta College); OR Bachelor’s in chemistry or biochemistry AND Master’s in biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical physics, physics, molecular biology, or geochemistry; OR Bachelor’s in chemistry or biochemistry AND Masters in “chemistry & biochemistry” or “biochemistry & molecular biology” (locally approved at MiraCosta College); OR Bachelor’s in chemistry AND Master’s in “chemical & biochemical engineering” (locally approved at MiraCosta College); OR a valid appropriate California Community College Credential in the discipline area. OR the equivalent.
