Requirements

• Four years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of roads, bridges, levees, drainage facilities, wharfs, buildings, or grounds; OR Four years of experience in the operation or maintenance of electronically controlled locks or industrial or heavy mobile equipment.
• A valid Louisiana Class “A” Commercial License is required.

Responsibilities

• Makes minor repairs and performs preventative maintenance on above equipment to keep it clean and in good operating condition as per manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Ensure proper information given to clerk for Notifications to be created through Plant Maintenance for all equipment repairs in a timely manner.
• Operate tractor-trailers and tandem dump trucks as required.
• Supervises the entries of subordinates scheduled work hours are properly coded in Agile System through the PDA (man hours, equipment, mileage, control elements, asset inventory).
• Ensure monthly building inspection, and safety meetings are conducted and properly recorded and filed.
