Highway Bridge Maintenance Foreman
About The Position
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Highway and Bridge Maintenance Department. This position requires experience with personnel management, all aspects of highway and bridge construction and maintenance, job safety, mechanical ability, record keeping and communication skills, assistance with budget development, and any other tasks assigned by the Branch Manager. Responsible for Maintenance and Protection of temporary traffic control. Operation of Highway Maintenance Equipment such as bridge inspection units, bucket trucks, pressure washers, street sweepers, and other maintenance related equipment. Responsible for daily production goals, customer communications, and scheduling of daily work. Leads daily safety meetings. Supervises a team of 4-6 individuals. Communicates with on-site inspector. Uses all equipment safely. Performs other duties as assigned. MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO TRAVEL AWAY FROM HOME FOR UP TO 1 WEEK AT A TIME IN DE, NJ, NY, PA, AND VA (hotel/travel expenses paid by the Company).
Requirements
- 21+ years of age.
- 1+ year of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
- Ability to travel away from home for up to 1 week at a time in DE, NJ, NY, PA, and VA.
- Personnel management experience.
- Experience with all aspects of highway and bridge construction and maintenance.
- Job safety knowledge.
- Mechanical ability.
- Record keeping skills.
- Communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Highway Maintenance experience.
- Class CDL A or B license.
