Requirements

• Four years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of roads, bridges, levees, drainage facilities, wharfs, buildings, or grounds; OR Four years of experience in the operation or maintenance of heavy mobile equipment.
• A valid Louisiana Class “A” Commercial License is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Mobile Equipment Operators performing maintenance to the highways and bridges.
• Prepares daily labor and equipment report.
• Orders materials daily.
• Guides and instructs assigned personnel to see that Highway Standards are met.
• Conducts routine administration meetings and training.
• Works emergencies at night.
• May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities.
