About The Position

The High Lift Operator pulls down and puts away pallets in the warehouse rack system using a hi-lift forklift. This position is for team members currently working at this facility or complex. Team members interested in transferring from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner. The role is based in Ottawa, Illinois, on D Shift, Friday through Sunday, 18:00–06:00.

Requirements

• Be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Move product through the warehouse safely and efficiently.
• Pick and place pallets accurately and according to Tyson Guidelines to prevent dumps or askew pallets.
• Remove plastic wrap on occasion before depositing pallets.
• Communicate effectively and promptly with leadership when encountering difficulties or discrepancies.
• Follow Tyson Foods safety and policy procedures.
• Follow product quality, authenticity, and legality procedures and complete Annual Food Defense Training.
• Consistently follow safety processes, promote a safe work environment, and perform other responsibilities as needed.
• Clean as you go throughout the work shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
