About The Position

The High Lift Operator operates high lift equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials in a warehouse or manufacturing facility. The role supports safe and efficient material handling, streamlined operations, and inventory management. Duties include inspecting the equipment at the start of each shift, assisting with cooler inventory counts and product rotation, and moving palletized products using a scan gun. Operators report unsafe equipment, racking damage, pallet or leaking-box problems, and missing or damaged products to their immediate supervisor. This description is not all-inclusive; employees may perform other related duties to meet organizational needs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in humid, cold, wet, or slippery conditions, at varied heights, and around moving equipment and parts while using personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Be attentive to detail.
• Work safely, wear PPE, and follow instructions.
• Attend work consistently.
• Display a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience or knowledge of a manufacturing environment.
• Previous knife experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete a daily inspection report of the high lifter at the start of each shift.
• Immediately report deficiencies that prevent safe use of the equipment to the dock supervisor.
• Assist forklift drivers with weekly cycle counts of products in the cooler.
• Help forklift drivers with daily product rotation in the cooler.
• Rack and locate palletized products from production using a scan gun.
• Pull product pallets from racks for order pickers and return partial pallets to the racks.
• Report racking damage, pallet problems, or leaking-box issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Report missing or damaged product to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as needed to meet ongoing organizational needs.
