About The Position

The Scale Operator operates elevator processes and powered industrial equipment and performs general plant cleaning, maintenance, and material-handling tasks. The role involves shoveling, vacuuming or sweeping, and loading and unloading trucks and railcars. Candidates must be able to work in varied conditions and meet the physical demands of the position. Overtime, including weekend overtime during harvest periods, is required as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including prolonged standing; working in confined spaces and at heights; kneeling; climbing stairs and ladders; and working in heat, cold, dust, and other conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to meet all requirements to wear a respirator.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends during harvest periods.
• Professional image and positive, respectful attitude.
• Must provide own transportation to and from work.
• Successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate elevator processes and powered industrial equipment.
• Perform general plant cleaning.
• Perform shoveling, vacuuming, and sweeping.
• Load and unload trucks and railcars.
• Perform general maintenance.
• Work overtime up to 12 hours per day and weekend overtime as necessary.
