About The Position

REACH is hiring a full-time Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services for REACH customers. The pilot works with medical experts to transport customers safely to and from locations and facilities. Safety is a key pillar of the service. The role includes a 7/7 schedule and on-duty housing. Compensation is listed as $124,263–$136,689, including a 40% geographic modifier. Incentives include a $15,000 sign-on bonus subject to eligibility, retention bonus plans ($40,000 after three years plus additional retention bonuses upon completion), and a $5,000 SPIFR stipend.

Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating.
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 total flight hours.
• 1,500 helicopter hours.
• 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.
• 500 turbine helicopter hours.
• At least 100 cumulative hours of instrument flight time.
• 100 hours of night unaided time, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided.
• 230-pound weight limit with flight gear.

Nice To Haves

• 200 helicopter instrument hours preferred, including 50 in aircraft.
• EC135/H135 aircraft experience.
• High school diploma/equivalent or higher.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in applicable manuals and all FAR and REACH requirements, including aircraft-cleanliness duties.
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift-change information to the succeeding pilot and team, following protocol for recording REACH change-board details.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
