About The Position

The Heavy Skilled Production role involves semi-skilled production work using knives and hooks while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). The work is physical and may involve standing at a table for eight hours or more, working at a moving table or chain, and working in hot, cold, or humid environments. Employees must be able and willing to work in hot and cold conditions, stand for 6–8 hours per shift, and push, pull, and lift weights up to 80 pounds using physical force. No experience is needed. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation. This Madison location is accepting rehires. Former Tyson employees must meet a minimum 180-day rehire waiting period and a three-time hire limit. Offers are conditional on proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and passing a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment. Certain roles may also require a background check. Hourly applicants must complete an additional task after submitting an application. The position is on A Shift. Relocation assistance is not available.
