About The Position

JELD-WEN is hiring a Skilled Production Associate for its Special-order department. The role involves producing custom doors and performing varied production tasks, with an emphasis on accurately following work orders, measuring, preparing and handling materials, maintaining equipment, finishing and packaging products, and ensuring quality. The position is in a safe, challenging, fast-paced work environment and offers opportunities to cross-train, build skills, and advance.

Requirements

• Commercial machine operator experience.
• Past experience in commercial woodworking, such as doors, millwork, or cabinets.
• Past experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• General knowledge of building materials.
• Ability to perform simple math and use basic handheld measuring tools.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately read work order details and use measuring tools.
• Read a tape measure.
• Perform a preventative maintenance inspection at the start of the shift.
• Prepare and handle materials.
• Stage and package finished products.
• Prepare and complete prefinishing work.
• Use pneumatic tools.
• Build custom doors with attention to detail.
• Maintain a focus on quality.
